SPW-1 Spot Welder
The SPW-1 has been developed by Matelect for welding potential drop current and signal cables to a specimen under test. Using capacitance discharge as the energy source, signal wires up to 24 AWG can easily be welded with minimal user experience, along with current injection wires up to 18 AWG.
Unlike welders that require a pulse length to be set, the SPW-1 simply needs the weld energy entered in Joules; the system calculates the pulse duration automatically and keeps the energy dumped into the weld constant, helping to eliminate weld defects.
